Detail for Commander's Palace : Restaurant, Creole / Desert Passage
[an error occurred while processing this directive]
Run by the renowned Brennan family of New Orleans, this spot features daring Creole cuisine featuring a wide array of seafood dishes. Recommended items ($25-$40): the turtle soup, pecan-crusted fish, pan roasted oysters and the Pralines, distributed by the maitre d'. Save room for Bananas Foster, which the Brennans invented! Open for breakfast Mon-Thurs 9 am-11 am; lunch 11:30 am-2 pm; dinner nightly 5:30 pm-10 pm; brunch with live Dixieland music Fri 11:30 am-2 pm, Sat-Sun 10:30 am-2 pm. - Alotta, 11/06/2005
We had lunch about a year ago. Fabulous! We hope to be back for dinner this month. Last year we also visited the New Orleans restaurant--LV is easier to get too! - Patt L, 11/06/2005
Commander's Palace bar in particular is very unfriendly towards locals and they strongly discourage their business here unless you are dining only in fairly large groups of four or more. Locals beware of their lack of graciousness and negative attitude displayed towards those who are regular bar patrons at similar fine dining establishments on the Strip where their business is appreciated - you will not be treated
well at Commander's since they have no desire to cultivate a local bar following - their bar is used more for patrons who are waiting to be seated so you will come away disappointed with the experience every time as I have for two years. - L. Stern, 01/21/2003
