well my dad once owend the mt spring bar his name was mr robert alan werly i an robert werly the son of this great dad of mine. we had this bar from 1970s thru 2002 when some one killed him in bed. he was a large cocane person with all frends in life. he owned other bars like our bar,the cotton pickin casino etc. and we as famley got shit. dont contess the will thay say. - anonymous, 01/19/2011

Hmmm, lets see... watered down, meticulously measured expensive drinks (owners orders)and TIGHT owner owned slot machines. Lets mention that all his snooty rich friends frequent the bar and expect to be served well before any of us lowly servant types. I think I'll stick to driving the 20 or 30 odd miles to Pahrump or Vegas for a beer. - Allen, 07/18/2008

Mountain Springs is not the place it used to be. The new owner has ignored the locals, has screwed the bands that played there, raised the drink prices to cover for lost clientele and fired all the old friendly faces that made it a success for years. I recommend that you stay away until this idiot figures out that it's not just the location that made this bar great. - Robert, 03/02/2008

As a 28 year resident of Mt. Springs Saloon, I can tell you just about anything you want to know. Elevation: 5,500 ft Population: 120 Location: 30th and Plum (30 miles out of Vegas and Plum on top) 20 degrees cooler than Vegas. Horseshoe pits, BBQ, Pool, Dollar bills and old beer can collection throughout the saloon rafters. Live music on the weekends. Dancing and the greatest drinking bar in Nevada. - bob snyder, 11/02/2004
