This place is a sh** hole, but that's what it's known for. When you pull up in the parking lot, you know you aren't at the Ritz. If you check out karaoke, you'll see a loser named "Taz" who will periodically call himself "The Game," and buy the entire bar drinks. This is the only time it pays to visit the Northern. I was looking for Karaoke near my hotel while in town on business and found the Northern Lounge in a local newspaper. I lucked out! Friendly staff and patrons that welcomed me in. They have the best karaoke host! Joe was awesome! I would highly recommend the Northern Lounge for karaoke! They had a bunch of pool tables that were busy all night long! I have been to the Northern to find billiard action and every time, I get it. Some of the best 8-Ball players in the state of Arizona hang out there. They have pool tournaments every Monday, Tuesday Night and huge one's every Saturday at Noon. If you want action, this is the place to visit in Phoenix. - Un-named Pool Player, 07/04/2006
The Northern Lounge has an awesome karaoke room with 4 27' TV's, 4 Dart Boards and great sound system. I hear that they are expanding in the near future to add a full stage and add live music to the venue. The karaoke room is separate from the pool room side that offers 5 pool tables and 8 TV's.
