Hi my name is Jerry Ubel, and something has been bothering me for awhile now, and I decided to write the manager and get this off my chest. On May 22nd, my son, his wife, a good friend and his wife, and my wife and I visited your resturant for drinks and dinner. When we are in the cities, it is our favorite place to dine. When the waiter came to take our drink order, a latino looking young man came to give us our water, which he had on a tray, and proceeded to spill the entire tray with six glasses of water on the table, which ran down and doused all three of the ladies. The waiter didn't even seem to be concerned about it, and proceeded to take our drink orders, and said he would be back with a bunch of napkins, which he did, about 10 minutes later. In the mean time my son who was on the end of the table went orer to food preperation area and grabbed a bunch of napkins. I kidded to waiter when he came back, andsaid 'hey is this round on the house?' He just smiled and prceeded to take our dinner orders. Everthing was excellent and the rest of our time spend at the Pickled Parrot was great. It was supposed to be my treat that evening, but when the waiter came with the check, my son grabbed it and paid for it quickly before anyone had a chance to see if he took off a little something for the free water dousing the ladies received. My son did give the waiter the check and the waiter told him if we had any questions, we should ask the idiot who spilled the water. I guess this was not the right thing to say, because it still bothers me. If you would like to respond to me, I can be contacted at copper1@uslink.net Thank you very much for your time. - Jerry Ubel, 06/05/2003
