The food is always homemade. Ingredients are fresh, not canned. The staff has always made special orders for me and my friend Dan, and lately it is the only cafe we eat at. The staff is friendly and always open to slight changes in every meal. If you ask, they will change it if they can. I have never had a bad meal, and especially the breakfast that is a down-home,"mom and pop", kind of "just like I would make at home" if I could taste. Go for breakfast, but forget about lunch. The Reuben sandwich, which should be a pile of corned beef with a spoonful of sauerkraut, a melting slab of Swiss cheese and a swipe of Thousand Island dressing, is awful. One thin slice of some kind of meat, mounds of sauerkraut, barely detectable cheese and no dressing. Chicken sandwich is bland, salads are served on warm plates with Kraft packaged dressing. It is just a mess! Service is usually wonderful, servers are friendly and helpful. - Karmann, 03/29/2008
