Detail for La Cucaracha : Restaurant, Mexican

Call for hours. Menu features include enchiladas Suizas, chorizo chango, seafood burritos, fajitas, fresh guacamole, and enchiladas with mole and cheese sauce. - sys, 09/19/2002
Our appetizer was mostly bean paste - enough to fill 6 to 8 small tortillas, colby cheese, and a flattened dollop of chorizo to taste. With the bean dip and tossed to the side a foil package containing 3 small poorly steamed tortillas. One does not expect to pay the exorbitant prices for mediocre mostly bean filled dishes with a couple of small poorly steamed tortillas and when requested a couple more tortillas were charged extra. Not thrifty. A bean dip appetizer serving 4 to 6 includes 3 small tortillas. It will cost you $1.25 for 3 more poorly steamed tortillas. - Anon, 04/04/2005
I thought the food was good a little pricey for the porstions you get. the service was the the best and I did not like the fact that all the sides cost extra. - April, 08/07/2007
I have been going to La Cucaracha for over 10 years. It's by far the best Mexican restaurant I've ever been
to. The red salsa is second-to-none and I usually have excellent service. Sure, there's been a few times that service was slow, but it was because the restaurant was PACKED and they were doing the best they could. If you love Mexican food and want a good, HOT red salsa, you have to try La Cuc. - Ramona, 08/14/2006
