Yeah this place was pretty cool and I still think of it as the place that got me out of ssp to meet normal people. Too bad its not the same as it was back then. Ive only been to black dog twice and it seems so small now. This place was the right place at the right time,they just dont come like that anymore. Wow. I wonder how many people still think Kupp is alive and well....I spent the better part of four years serving lattes and almond steamers to the kids who got kicked out of denny's or just decided that hanging out was more fun than the arts classes being held next door at the Northern. Strange that a coffee shop should become mythical, but it did. I hear people tell stories about us (the baristas and tenders with surly attituded to match the kids' and the revered and sought after Paguyos.) I exhibited my first solo photo show in that place. I played my first game of bread football after close. Good times...goodtimes.... But now it's Black Dog. - j. Lo, 05/24/2001
