If you like authentic Chicago Vienna-style hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, polish, pizza, and more, then Joey D's is the place for you. These guys have brought the true taste of Chicago right here to Minneapolis - and boy does it taste good! Having grown up in Chicago, I have first-hand experience with the real thing; the Italian beef, the dogs, the pizza. And eating at Joey D's brought me right back to all the old places I grew up with. Not to mention putting a huge smile on my face. Whn you walk in Joey D's, the first thing you notice is the smell - or should I say the frangrant aroma of fantastic food. Then it's off to try and narrow down your choices from the menu. Tough, tough choice's but, in the end, you've got to choose something because the line behind you is long and impatient. Once you've ordered, and found a table or booth, you can't help but stare around the room at all the wonderful Chicago memorabilia, as you wait for your order to come up. And when it does, and you're coming back to your table, trailing the aromas behind you, you'll get lots of stares from others who are smelling, smiling and wondering 'mmmmmmm, what did he choose?' Then there's the first bite - wait, I can't decsribe it, you'll have to experience it for yourself. As a matter of fact, writing this review has made me change my lunch plans.
