Just FYI to the previous 'reviewer': Elsie's is required by law to make sure that everyone who is in the bowling area after 10 pm has proof of legal age, just like all other establishments with like permits to serve alcohol. I doubt that us regulars would appreciate Elsie's having to close or pay high fines because they broke the law for one '20-something' who went out on the town without an i.d. I was sent out into the bitter cold by a 23-year-old manager for trying to bowl without an ID. I had not gone to the bar, requested a drink, or shown any interest in anything but bowling. I realize bowling is a dangerous and complex game that cannot possibly be enjoyed by anyone under 21, but this was ridiculous. The manager told me that I had to leave the premesis, so my husband of three years was forced to drive his 27 year old wife home for the high crime of being out after 10 without an ID. I will never ever ever ever go there again. PS My husband found a severed finger in one of the bowling balls. - ANGRY IN ST. PAUL, 11/03/2006
