I used to love du Jour's in Golden Valley. When I suggested it this past weekend my wife and I realized we hadn't been there in awhile. Once we got there we remembered why. The service is abysmal. Our waitress left us sitting for at least 10 minutes without offering coffee. Once she brought the coffee, there was no cream, which took another 10 minutes to procure. I ordered orange juice that never came. The couple seated behind us gave up and left without eating. The food was excellent, as always, but the poor service left us steaming. I checked our restaurant expenses on Quicken. While we once frequented du Jour's twice a month in years past, we have only been there three times this year. That says it all! In these difficult times no restaurant can afford to offer poor service to their patrons. - Scott of Minnetonka, 09/24/2001
