Open for dinner Mon - Sat; live jazz music nightly. Dakota is a combination of the area's best jazz club and one of the area's best restaurants. The upscale menu features unique regional dishes, and the wine list has some terrific bargains. - sys, 09/19/2002
I honestly believe that the Dakota is the jewel of the mid-west, if not the U.S., for the combination of great food with great jazz. The Brie soup with granny smith apple garnish is amazing. If you've never tried venison....this is the place. P'ot de Creme, is beyond comprehension. The Dakota might not be the 'in' place for the masses, but definetly is amongst the top five restaurants in the Twin Cities. - Larry Kronenberger, 02/04/2003
