What a wonderful experience for our youth. The theater and the academy at first stage provide a challenging, yet safe place for students and audience to not only experience the world of art and theater, but create it. Theater is a wonderful oppurtunity to understand ourselves and our world through a magnifying glass. We can see the work on stage, feel it, study it, use it to help understand our own lives, which is so crucial to everyone, not only kids. But then, places like First Stage allow the youth they attract, to build and create lives, worlds, and the art around them. What a power and privilege that is to have in your life.
