On Saturday, June 19th, my children celebrated my birthday by taking me on the Edelwiss. The boat never took off on time, there was another large birthday party and everybody had to wait until this group was boarded. Number one, when there is preferential treatment, the people booking other tables should be so advised that the remaining people will be treated as second rate passengers. We actually had to ask to be served drinks, there wasn't any salt or pepper on the table, and we were not even given our rolls until after our meals was finished and our plates had already been removed. I have been on dinner cruises before and I have to admit that this was the worst one I have ever been on. An apology was made when we started the cruise for the delay, however, not for the discrimination of those that were not part of the large birthday party. Personally I would never recommend this cruise to anybody. I felt sorry that my kids thought they were giving me a treat and it turned out so badly. I am certain that this will never turn up on the web page, however, even though I normally never give negative comments I couldn't help stating the facts. - C. Micklitz, 06/21/2004
