Jungle-patterned seats, an occasional palm tree, and commissioned monkey paintings adorning the walls pave the way for American bistro fare in the upstairs restaurant and a late-night lounge setting on the ground level. Dinner menu (up to $29) includes steak and seafood entrees, pasta dishes, and gourmet pizzas. A long drink menu includes specialty martinis, frozen banana drinks, and other monkey-themed beverages like 'Gorillas in the Mist' and 'Monkey Java.' A late-night food menu includes pizza and sandwiches made with foccacia bread, and baked brie appetizers. Yum! Me and the creator of this website went for a 10-mile bike ride around the Milwaukee part of Lake Michigan then stopped here for lunch. Outdoor seating on a cute plaza. Went in to use the bathroom--cute decor and great music playing inside. I had a steak salad with blue cheese and stuff. Yum. Took a bite of his Cuban sandwich, another yum. around the corner from Marquette ... Visited Milwaukee for a night and stopped into Palms for lunch. Nice outdoor seating of a townsquare type of thing. I had a steak, blue cheese and tomato salad for lunch. The steak was wonderfully marinated and the salad hit the spot and filled me up after I had just finished a 10-mile bike ride. I loved the Cuban decor and Latin music inside. My friend had te Cuban sandwhich, which I had a bite of, that was great too. Waitresses were really nice. - jms, 06/19/2011
