This place is HORRIBLE!!!! The waitress was extremely unfriendly, the order was incorrectly made...TWICE...and the owner I believe his name was John, was yelling at all of the cooks and waitresses in the back he was that loud.... I just returned from a week at a conference in downtown Milwaukee and stayed at the Hilton across from the convention center. My first day in town the Concierge directed me to the Midwest and I ended up eating breakfast there everday and lunch on most days. The 3-egg omeletes are some of the best I have ever tried! Especially the Gyro omelete with the side of yogurt. These folks know how to make hash browns just right. The service is fast and friendly and the coffee is darn near perfect. The lunch menu was just as good. The price was right as I never spent more than $10 [including tip]. The smoking and non-smoking sections are adequately spaced and from what I
could see parking in the area is a breeze. If you ever find yourself in downtown Milwaukee this place is a must! - bostondann, 08/07/2005
