Worst meal ever! First, our server seemed shocked to see us, as if we were the first people to actually EAT there (as opposed to just drinking) in years. We sat down in the bizarre dining room, which is a depressingly drab mix of faux-victorian decor and nautical-themed knick kancks. The yellow, smoke-stained curtains were totally drawn, adding an eerie ambience to the already unpleasant experience. As for the food, I have to say it was some of the worst I've had in a while at a restaurant. All of the food came on TV-Dinner like china, that faded, off-white stuff your granny served you goulash in. My salad came first, and it was swimming in 'italian' dressing. I use the term loosley because I don't think they really used italian dressing, but rather just approximated an edible mix of water and vinegar and threw it into a bowl, dumped it on to my salad, and served it to me. It was terrible. I mean awful. I usually like home-style cooking, so I decided to give the



main course an second chance. No such luck. I ordered the orange ruffy. It was literally served in a fried chunk, with no sauce, preparation or effort evident. The only side dish was a bowl of skinned potatoes swimming in grease. The fish was bland, dry and downright sad. I ate as much to be polite, but that wasn't very much at all. All of the experiences I had thus far didnt even compare to my dessert experience. It was a birthday, so we ordered a big piece of pie for the birthday girl. The pie literally---and I mean literally---tasted like it had been made with paint. I don't know if it was an old liquore or the smokey bar in which it was made...but it tasted like PAINT. Everyone had a taste, and agreed. I politely wrapped up the pie and threw it away in the bathroom. Quite possible the worst dining experience of my life. - Jack T, 06/25/2005
