There is no finer place in all of downtown Milwaukee to stop for a bite to eat. The atmosphere is relaxed yet elegant. Shopping in the store, then stopping upstairs for afternoon tea is simply a delightful experience. I highly recommend the Watts Tea Room to all of my friends. - Margaret Louise, 02/27/2009
We loved our recent trip to Milwaukee and our visit to the Watt's Tea Room. The waitress was friendly and very helpful. The food, atmosphere and service were great. I would definitely return. Connecting to the tea room upstairs was a gift shop with a grand selection. So if you are visiting Milwaukee, you can have a great lunch or afternoon tea experience and find your gifts to bring back at the same time. - Linda Williamson, 07/21/2003
We stopped by this tea room on Saturday, October 6 at about 2:45 p.m. We were seated at a table by a young boy, and then POINTEDLY ignored by the female wait
person. It was so obvious it was almost comical. The fact we were wearing hockey jerseys may have had something to do with it, but perhaps they should post a dress code if they don't like seeing $150 hockey jerseys walk through the doors. There were only three tables with people at them, so it wasn't crowded. We waited...and waited...while staff stood around looking at their fingernails. We left after the waitress walked toward us, turned up her nose, and quickly went to a different table to wait on people who had already eaten. We also noticed we were the ONLY table in the restaurant without glasses of water. In light of recent world events, the fact somebody would get off on this type of behavior and lose business, future customers, and a damn good tip is simply amazing. Two thumbs down on this place, snobs need only apply. And a note to the waitperson. Drop the high school clique attitude if you expect to make it anywhere in the world. - gaelicgrrl@yahoo.com, 10/07/2001
