Spent a few days in Milwaukee the last weekend in March 09. Was greeted warmly at the door. Sat at the bar and was greeted by Anna the bartender who had a great personality and knowledge of the menu and downtown area. Enjoyed the Kobe beef cappacio and seafood platter for two. My girlfriends and I selected two generous steaks and the Amish Roast Chicken breast. Our entrees were accompanied by an array of bright,tender roasted veggie sides; one of which was a deeply aromatic truffle infused mashed potato offering. We enjoyed bisque and fresh salads while our dishes were prepared;and music was adjusted to accommodate our preference. Service was attentive without being intrusive and the low-light ambience lent a welcome coziness to the evening. We were pleased that Carnivore's owner stopped by to inquire after our satisfaction; an unexpected extra. Every item was gracefully seasoned; making ours a completely

One of the worst experiences of my life. Ran out of the only rose champaigne on the menu, no ice buckets for white wine(had to ask the bus boy), specials rattled for 5 minutes, misrepresentation on menu(lamb rack was actually lamb t-bone), numerous spelling errors on menu, waited over 2 hours for entrees with first course being only 4 plates, remarked table without clearing dirty plates, the list can go on. What kind of training do these servers get because they have no idea what they are doing. For over $100 a person, this was a horrible experience and I felt like the whole restaurant is a hoax. - Thomas, 05/21/2007

Here was the first time I have tried Kobe Beef. Their Kobe steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare
