From the team that brought you Trocadero comes Cafe Benelux .. this place is all about the beer: Belgian style beer. 25 options on tap, and dozens more in bottles. We liked the Kwak, Hommel Bier, Augustina .. also Hoegaarden. Menu features salads, burgers, and a few surprises. Service was a bit off .. we were comp'd a round of drinks. A great time was had by all.

yum. went when it first opened so it was crowded and the wait for our food was long. great international brews. they had pannenkoeken on the menu--i've never seen it outside of amsterdam! i got the brussels pannenkoeken. it's asparagus, fried egg, pancetta, parmesan and cheese sauce kind of aon top of a large pancake. the pancake was very thick, douhy and pancake-like and it was good. in amsterdam the pannenkoeken is more of a light, thin crepe with less quantity of ingredients (ham or bacon and some cheese) pressed in with a light dusting of powder sugar but cafe benelux's take on



it was a very nice deviation, and again, welcomed, since I've never seen a restaurant outside of Amsterdam offer anything like it. - jms, 07/02/2011
