I hear people rave about Butch's all the time, so I finally had to go there for a steak. This place in no way lives up to the hype. The first this we saw when we enter the store was this tacky meat case with cryovaked steaks. Not exactly classy. Your Pick N Save meat case looks nicer. The steaks were bland and boring. They came severely undercooked, and had to be sent back twice. You would think that a place that specializes in steak would at least know how to cook one. The baked potato tasted like it had been around for a while, but received a new one when we sent back our steaks. We overheard a woman next to us ask if her lobster was supposed to look like that to her husband, and could see it was undercooked also.



I don't mind paying $40 for a good cut of meat that is cooked correctly, but this place is not the place. There as so many better steakhouses within the area to go to. Save your time and money for somewhere else. - E_Man262, 03/21/2007

Never judge a book by its cover! The restaurant is uniquely decorated with antique charm once you step inside. The steaks are the biggest and best in Milwaukee! Not overpriced and the portions are extreme! Friendly, casual environment and excellent service. We love it! - SAS, 03/18/2003
