Just to clarify, the name is Blue's Egg. Blue's Egg is owned by the same people who own Maxie's Southern Comfort and my experience here was just as good as at their sister establishment. The Theme here is : Breakfast, Lunch, Community. That is just how it felt from the moment we entered the restaurant. From the casual space to the friendly, genuine staff to the quality, homey, yet upscale food, everything worked together to create an outstanding experience.My Entree was Creamy Polenta with Lacinato Kale, Roasted Mushrooms, Poached Eggs and Sauce Fonduta and a side of Crispy Thick Cut Bacon. It was warm, rich, soft and comforting all in one dish. I crumbled the bacon over the dish, which added a crispy, salty porky note and made it even better. They also have a nice selection of mixed drinks and I choose an expertly made Peach Bellini to complete my meal. My friend loved his Corned Beef on Rye with Russian Dressing and Beet Slaw and Yukon Fries. He just wanted more of the Slaw. Our food was so good I even ordered a "Stuffed Brown" with Goat Cheese and Roasted Olives for lunch the next day. - norm, 09/06/2010
