Scooters Pub is in half of the location that once housed Mel's on Water. Scotters has the larger section of the old Mel's (Dukes has the smaller eastern section) and with the larger footprint keeps more of the feel of the old Mel's. On a Friday or Saturday night you should expect a large crowd, a smoky bar, crowded billiards tables and if you're lucky an open table/booth to sit at. Scooters tends to run aggressive happy hour specials and normally has an item or to for around $1 during the week. - norm, 12/14/2009
