Homecoming for two jazz artists with appearance at Jazz Estate. Drummer Louis Hayes leads group The Cannonball Legacy Band, with five top New York jazz musicians, including two from the Milwaukee area, on Sept. 3. Headed by Drummer Louis Hayes, the group will include Milwaukee native Rick Germanson, pianist, Racine native Gerald Cannon, bassist, Alto Sax Player Vincent Herring, and Trumpter Player Sean Jones. A prominent jazz drummer for more than 40 years, Hayes played seven years with the famed Cannonball Adderly Quintet, and is carrying on that great jazz group's tradition with the Legacy Band. There will be two shows on Sept. 3, at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Advance tickets for each show will be $20, with $25 admission at the door. - Kenneth G., 08/09/2005
