The quintessential corner bar. Some may balk at having to get buzzed in, but personally, I feel all safe and cozy inside knowing the bartenders are keeping a lookout. The jukebox is seriously awesome, plugged with crazy-eclectic homemade mixes - Loretta Lynn, Donny Hathaway, Cyndi Lauper, Iron Maiden, Big Country, etc. They'll turn it up if you ask, but be nice and ask the bartender or whoever gave you that dollar if they have any requests. Randy, the owner and jovial man-behind-the-music, often cooks up some snacks for his customers - crock-pots of brats on Packer Sundays, Sloppy Joes on soft burger buns, long-cooked meats and potatoes. There's always little bags of local De-Lish-Us chips, tubes of cashews and peanuts, and a hardly-used pizza oven. Drinks are cheap, strong, and often on the house, as fellow patrons love buying rounds for the crowd. - norm, 05/14/2010
