First off, this place is not a 'Lounge'. A lounge has plentiful places to sit, with booths, low tables, low lights and a mellow atmosphere. This place is more like a typical Water street bar. It's crowded, loud and the only places to sit are the high tables or at the bar where the stools are bolted into the floor. One thing I will say about this place is that the staff is plentiful and efficient. You usually don't have to linger at the bar too long and there are also waitresses who will take your orders at the tables. City Lounge tries to project that do not make much sense to me. In terms of the layout, there is a dance floor in the middle of the room which divides the whole building. It spans almost the whole width of the room, leaving a small area to walk through if you want to go from the bar to the bathrooms. This causes a permanent traffic jam, since it's the only place you can walk without going through the dance floor. this place seems like it wants to be both a neighborhood bar and a weekend dance club.
