I'm not really sure what to think about this bar. I have sort of a love/hate relationship with it. There are some things that are great and some I can't stand. The great things are the bartenders. They are top notch. I can't think of any other bar in Bay View where you actually get such polite service. It's almost a requirement for bartenders in this area to be pretentious. The beer selection is great, too. However, it seems that many of the patrons are of the hipster persuasion and, therefore, just drink Blatz. My biggest complaint would have to be the volume of the music. I'm not against loud music, but it always seems to be a few decibels too loud, especially when they have a 'DJ' there. I'm talking a Water-Street-meat-market-bar type of loud. Not sure why a DJ is necessary for a bar as small as this. The bar is clean and the pool table and shuffle board are nice additions, although it gets near impossible to play either when it's busy since the room in which they reside is so small. Overall, this is a nice place and the owners seem to know what they're doing. - norm, 03/24/2010
