The bar at the Iron Horse hotel features a decent drink list and appetizers .. we thought it was odd that the bar and the patio (called The Yard) are not connected, as you need to walk around the building to get to the seating area. After fighting off bees for 20 minutes the server finally noticed us. Drinks were mixed with care, we had a good time overall. - wm, 08/30/2009
the purveyor of this website recently kidnapped me and my dog and took us to the iron horse for an overnight. when i arrived one friday in time for lunch, we ate at smyth's, the fancy restaurant with out door seating at the iron horse hotel. great setting. i had the non-alcoholic ice tea--the waitress couldn't believe i didn't want something special in it, she was sweet--we shared an eggplant cheviche type of thing with blond raisines on flatbread (YUM), a blt and polenta fries with a spicy cocktail sauce. very good! - jms, 07/02/2011
