I attended the Will Downing concert this past friday night. I thought I was going to enjoy a nice evening of relaxing jazz. However, what I got was an evening of loud, often distorted music. I recently moved to Michigan and this was my first event at Chene Park. Throughout the evening several of us yelled to the stage to turn the music down. I even asked the guy operating the sound and lights. None of this worked. Needless to say, I left the park feeling less than satisfied and wishing I had bought the cheap seats on the lawn. I feel the people outside the park received a better sound. If there is anything you and/or your organization can do to ensure the people who pay premium prices to sit under the tarp receive a good sounding performance will be greatly appreciated.
