We visited Fairlanes on 2/13/04 and our tour was absolutely wonderful. Our guide, Ruth, was very knowledgable and our group was composed of only 7 people, so we had no difficulty in hearing and asking questions. We plan to go back when we can walk the grounds when plants are in bloom. Luncheon at the Pool Restaurant is a treat not to be missed--fabulous food and reasonable prices! - Loretta Burd, 02/17/2004
We were glad to have the oportunity to tour FairLane. However,the tour was conducted too rapidly. Additionally, there were too many people(20+)in our tour group. This made it difficult to see and hear everything as some of the guests talked over the tour guide, Ruth. Due to the number of people, in the smaller hallways, parts of the presentation couldn't be heard. We were disappointed to learn that there was not a larger
book on the estate and it's history for sale in the gift shop. The one available seems to leave out many important and interesting details of the construction and the Ford's life at the estate. Perhaps there will be one available when we return for a visit - Randy & Cathy Replogle, 06/21/2003
