This renovated theater host concerts, shows, and Broadway performances. - sys, 12/26/1999
I attended the Sesame Street Live production yesterday, January 31st. I have seen the show several times in the past because I have 3 children ages 12, 6 and 4 but I have to say that this was the first time I was really disappointed. I took my four year old and went with her preschool class and their parents and we all sat on the first floor balcony. The acoustics were so poor that none of us could understand what was being said. The kids were bored and anxious to leave. In the past my kids were dancing in the isles and disappointed when it was over. It wasn't just our group that was disappointed in the show, everyone around us was leaving early or consoling a complaining child. Not one child in our area seemed to be enjoying themselves. The main floor patrons appeared to be having a little more fun but not nearly as much as past performances. The show usually has an easy to
follow theme that threads thru the production but this one seemed to be lost and had no direction. I seriously doubt the my child will ever want to attend another theatre production thanks to this poor performance. Sincerely, Sherie Ford Momford3@prodigy.net - Sherie Ford, 02/01/2001
