I ate at the Monroe Street Cafe with a few co-workers today, and again was pleasantly surprised. The food is great, the steak is cooked to perfection, and who can forget those potatoes!!! I just wish Mitch could have joined us. Next time!! - Jeff Ivory, 02/18/2004

I have been to Monroe St Cafe twice in the last month. I live in Toledo and find it worth the drive for the broiled walleye alone and for the friendly service that our server Layla provided. The first visit my wife Jackie ordered the walleye and I had a steak. The walleye was the best I've ever had (I had to try my wife's ) and my steak was done to perfection. If you go, make sure to ask for Layla, she's the best. I was so impressed. Not only did she recall me by my first name but also remembered my wife's name. UNBELIEVABLE!! Greektowns best by far!

This is definitely the best restaurant I have ever eaten at. The food was unbelievably delicious. I had a salad with an excellent Greek dressing, mozzarella cheese sticks with a mouthwatering marinara sauce, and the Surf & Turf with mashed potatoes. I live 3 hours from the Monroe Street Cafe and I would honestly drive all the way to Detroit just to eat here again! All I can say is Mmmm...good! - April (Cleveland, OH), 09/11/2002
