Ireally liked east franklin restaurant. Most of the staff was very pleasant except the person at the door who did not acknowlegde that me and my friend were standing there waiting to be seated. Our server was great. The food was wonderful and served very quickly. I really enjoyed the free jazz concert that we recieved by being downstairs from the club! East Franklin is the most irritating, frustrating restaurant with which I will never do business. The East Franklin staff does not answer the telephone; they allow an automated system to do that for them. Should you have a question, you are directed to leave a message. However, the three or four times I tried, I couldn't as the mailbox is always full. I finally reached a staff person and inquired about a carry-out for 20-30 people. I was informed that only the general manager could handle such a request. I left my name and number and three days later am still waiting for him to call me. I called again and asked for him directly but was told he was not in and no one had any idea of when he might be in - ever. Thinking about East Franklin? Don't bother. - bobbie, 06/12/2001
