Tuesday night I made my first and last visit to a Comet Burger restaurant. As I waited for the waitress to take my takeout order, I noticed the grillman mashing down the hamburgers, squeezing out any dot of juice that might have been in them. The meat in each was dry and tasteless -- well, actually, the thinner Comet burger tasted like liver. Thank God for the generous serving of grilled onions, which was the only thing that made them edible. I also ordered a chocolate malt, which had very little malt flavor and a chocolate Italian soda in which all the flavor stayed on the bottom, so after a few sips there was little taste left. By the way, when I ordered the soda, the waitress asked if I wanted it with Coke or soda water. - matt, 09/14/2003

Not just burgers - these are sliders or gut-rockets in the finest sense of the word. Hand-dipped ice cream and chili fries make it a quick evening that you and your stomach won't soon forget.
