One enthusiastic patron writes: This place is awesome! Terrence Parker is back with Steve Crawford on Wednesdays, Miller bottles are only $1! Thursdays are College Night, the place is packed, over 1,000 people on three levels! Fridays ladies pay no cover, and they have Stoli flavors for $2. Saturday is another three-floor dance party, 21 and over, the best dress crowd you'll see, and the women are hot!! Sunday is another College Night, the only alternative to St. Andrews, and much better music and prettier people, plus no cover if you're over 21!! All around, the best club on any given nite, and also when Real Detroit voted it Best Pickup Spot, they were right!! - sys, 05/24/2003
THIS CLUB BANGS EVERY SUNDAY!!!!!! - VICTORIAK, 12/25/2008
This place was the worest place i have ever been... would not rocomend coming here - Takeita, 01/05/2007
It is a fun place to go for all party music. Upstairs is old school, from Rob Base to Sir Mix A Lot and even some Black Box, Kid Rock and Barry Manilow? (Copa
Cabana), and dance music too! If you want newer hip hop, head downstairs. It is great for an older crowd mixed with the younger crowd and the Dj's play what the crowd wants. It has a comfortable atmosphere and no matter when you walk in the door, you're ready to dance. - Alicia, 01/10/2006
My brother was kicked out of this direspectable facility because he wears a turban to cover his hair - which by religion, we dont cut and generally, keep covered. He called me from outside to tell me what happened, when i inquired they first gave me some BS about kicking him out for letting people in through the back door - NOT TRUE, everyone we knew in the area had come with us and gotten in to the club. Then i was passed on from one employee to antoher before i was able to speak to a manager, who simply said 'sorry honey, 'hats' arent allowed.' Its NOT A HAT. I explained calmly about the religious significance. I was told that since the club has a liqour license they can kick out whomever they choose for whatever reason. My brother had just recently turned 18, he was not even drinking. They let him in, allowed him and our entire group to pay cover and then kicked him out within five minutes of entering the club. Three bouncers surrounded him. - Enraged, 07/19/2004
10 of my friends and I were looking forward to a night at your club. None of us had been there before but had heard wonderful things about your facility. We were out to celebrate with a cousin before she moved out of state. Unfortunately, we did not realize that you didn't allow gym shoes. One person in our group was wearing them, therefore our entire party had to leave. When talking to the person at the counter, she informed us that there was no way that they could let a person in who was wearing gym shoes. As we were getting ready to leave, one of your bouncers allowed a young man in who was WEARING GYM SHOES. Our entire party saw him allow this man in. When I questioned him about why he lets some people in with gym shoes and not others, he acted like I was seeing things! I felt very disrespected---although I was very respectful---and even wondered if there may be some bias concerning race. Needless to say, it put a damper on an evening that was meant to be a fun going away party for a dear cousin. Would you please clarify this situation for me? Thanks Tracy - Tracy @ littlesinger@msn.com, 10/12/2003
Tonic is nice elegant classy club with a good mix of people and music. The upstairs is the nicest. Upstairs they the play urban booty music. The middle floor is pop and dance music, and downstairs is techno. Tonic is a nice classy place to go on a thrusday night if you are 18 and if you are 21 go have fun on friday or saturday. - Andi, 05/28/2003

If you haven't been to Tonic, you haven't partied! Tonic is wild, lush, hot, and big fun for anyone who's tired of lame-ass clubs who overpromise and underdeliver. The patrons are better looking, better behaved, and overall sexier than anywhere else. Quinn, the bartender, pours a mean drink too! New Year's Eve kicked ass at Tonic! You may often spot a local sports celebrity there also. Valet, check your coat, order a drink, and it's 'off to the races.' You'll not soon forget your first clubbing experience at Tonic!! Ladies, the men alone are worth the trip :) - Julie S., 02/01/2003
