The original Mac Daddy Headquarters. drop by and run into such legendary Detroit characters as Money Green; Sweet Chocolate; and Pretty Tony. they are the models for Donald Goines riviting 60's novels about street life in Detroit. I love to just get a drink and sit at the end of the bar and watch the action. there are so many players in here they should have an umpire at the door. More Johnny Taylor, Wilson Picket, Etta James, Solomon Burke and George Clinton and the Parliment/Funkadelic on the juke box than I've ever seen in my life. Trust Me Ladies you will love this bar, because the Men Buy Drinks if you Smile; and they usually blind you with their Gold Teeth when they smile back, Honey. remember these are the original playas, not these plastic pimples of today. so act with respect or as they say at this Sugar Shack - 'F4#k what you heard, act like you know' there has never been an incident of a woman being troubled at this bar from what I hear from some of my friends who've been going there since the late 60's; because the owner has a shotgun on the bar and a very serious brother at the door checking everything out, and I do mean Everything - so folks this is a safe bet if you just want to have a good old country factorystyle time. and the drinks are cheap too. - Honey Chiles, 03/09/2003
