Having been away from Michigan and living in the Austin Texas area I never thought I would see a country band that was as awesome as the Steel Canyon Band. What a throw back to a unique sound with current variations. Like a cross between Brooks & Dunn and The Allman Brothers Band. The guitar riffs screamed through the place like white lightning on a hot summer night. The lead singer really carries the band with heartfelt melodies and southern charm. Go out of your way to find out where these guys are playing. This band is a must watch for the billboard charts. - Sammy S, 08/26/2005

I was strictly a rock& roll fan until a roommate of mine took me to Highkicker one week end about 4 years ago. since then not only have I crossed over to being a country music fan but I have been back every friday& saturday and I have also brought in several friends that have also become regulars as well. We travel from Flint and put about 160 miles every week end on our cars to go there. There is truely no experience like it that my friends & I have found in the Flint or surrounding area and we find it well worth the trip. The owner Larry Dixon has done very well to make a place that country folk can go and socialize, dance thier boots off and call home and the house band Steele Canyon really packs the house. From the wait staff to security they are all friendly and take the time to make you feel like you belong there. HATS OFF LARRY! DON'T CHANGE A THING! - Terri LiOrtega, 05/28/2001
