Of all places!!! I grew up on the north end and I know all about the infamous Apex bar. The Apex is a haven for drug dealers (just ask anyone about 'uncle bill'), prostitutes and all around thugs. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE. I strongly suggest to stay as far away from this place as possible, unless you fance catching a stray bullet or being robbed by a crack head - andre harris, 06/19/2003
The Apex Bar is a cozy neighborhood bar nestled in Detroit's North End Most of the patrons know each other (like Cheers). The Apex Bar has featured some of Detroit's finest entertainers such as the late 'Washboard Willie' and bluesman Little Sonny'. Occasionally local musicians perform.Proprietor Marvelous Persell provides her recently remodeled location for birthdays and other events.
