Detail for Sweet Baby Ray's : Restaurant, Barbecue
[an error occurred while processing this directive]
Sweet Bay Ray's is a carryout and catering establishment that also offers seating for 36. On my first visit I ordered both, the Baby Back Ribs and the St. Louis Spare Ribs. They were both smoked prior to grilling. I prefer the St. Louis Spare Ribs because of their meatiness. The pulled pork sandwich was the best I have ever had. I took a pound home for later. On my second visit I had the Barbecue Cubano sandwich for lunch. Sliced ham and pulled pork, topped with Swiss cheese, red onions, pickles and citrus mayo, served on pressed Frech bread.----Delish!!!! By the way, the Chicken and Andoulle Sausage Gumbo really hit the spot. I will be tackling the Beef Brisket sandwich on my next visit. Chef Paul is running the kichen and supervises other real chefs in the preparations. This restaurant is owned by the former president and founder of Sweet Baby Ray's Barbecue Sauce. For the menu see: www.sbrbbq.com - Christopher S, 07/26/2005
This restaurant was opened by the former president of Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce. Dave has employed some of the best BBQ chefs around, one of which is Chef Paul. All the meats have been smoked, some for as long as 14 hours. They serve up some of the best beef brisket around. The Barbecue Cubano sandwich is a favorite of mine and my wife's. It has sliced ham and pulled pork, topped with Swiss cheese, red onion, pickles and citrus mayo, served on pressed French bread. Their ribs (Baby Back and St. Louis Spare Ribs) and the pulled pork are to die for. Everytime I go there, I try something different from the menu. I'm into the seafood offerings at this time. This is mostly a carry out and catering restaurant, however there are some booths and tables to accomodate 30-some diners. This is a MUST TRY restaurant!! Keep up the good work, Dave. - Christopher S, 01/17/2006
I just love this place! Small, yet charming, the food is to die for! Some of the BEST barbecue and the sweet corn is to die for! - Wine Grl, 08/24/2006
