Shanahan's was suggested by a friend who lived in the area. There were 8 of us that gathered for a Farewell Dinner, and I was first impressed by the warmth & coziness of the establishment, as well as the graciousness that we were welcomed with. The Irish Pub was bustling with people both at the bar and snuggled in booths. The air was festive & happy. We were shown to a good sized room in the back with comfortable chairs and close tables. The whole place had a wonderful feeling of *Vintage-ness*. I started out with Garlic soup, which was amazingly cramy & mild, but with a lot of taste! I can't recall exactly what I ordered for my main course, because we all shared with eachother, to better sample the fare. I can tell you, not one dish was distasteful in any way! I could have eaten there all week! I am now planning a birthday celebration there for my husband & friends. Looking forward to more wonderful & happy meals at Shanahan's. - Deanna Morton, 02/25/2002
