Shameful service, A friend of mine had lunch there recently. Upon hearing that she was from LA the owner Scott took it upon himself to ask her if she was an actress. Then further went on to ask if she was in Pornography. Right in front of her family! She was dressed in jeans, a long sleeved shirt and a puffy vest. Not some revealing outfit eluding to such a comment. I certainly would never eat at a resturaunt owned by such an offensive person. Maybe Sarkis himself was a draw, but he's long gone. Now Sarkis features mediocre food in an uncomfortable setting, surrounded by high schoolers out 'slumming' it. No thanks. - Rowdy, 10/04/2006

I have been going to Sarkis Cafe for about 7 years. I am 21 years old and everytime I go in there, I forget about my problems as soon as I see the smile on Sarkis's face. He greets everyone with either just a warm hand-shake or a polite kiss on the cheek as he asks with delight and gratitude, 'How are you today sweetheart?' My favorite is the ham loretta with everything on it. It is accompanied with the perfect side dish of hashbrowns that are somewhat crisp and definately plentiful. The cafe has had great success with the high school kids around the area and I have no doubt in my mind that it will continue to flourish in the quiet town of Evanston. - Natalija Fijacko, 11/04/2001
