Detail for Merle's Barbecue : Restaurant, American / Southern
[an error occurred while processing this directive]
"Barbecue so good it makes you wanna slap your pappy." Merle's smokehouse and dry gulch bar has carry out available anytime. Featured items ($9-16) include pulled pork, baby back ribs, brisket, St Louis-style ribs, and a combo platter. Southern kitchen items include maquehoux (a festive jambalaya dish) , double shot pork chops, catfish creole, and BBQ shrimp. Appetizers include chicken wings, salads, stuffed jalapenos, and flash fried catfish. Dessert: pecan pie. Good selection of bottled beers; we recommend Lone Star. - sys, 11/16/2003
Best smoked baby backs I've ever had. Make sure you count the ribs though, I think the waiters in back sneak a few by you when they can. - lmc, 05/11/2001
This is one my favorites. The atmosphere is great and the barbecue is unlike any other I've had in the midwest. - scott anderson, 11/15/2000
