IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN SOME AMAZING FOOD WITH A BOHEMIAN TWIST, AND AN EXTREMELY BEAUTIFUL AMBIANCE, THEN YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY CHECK OUT A PLACE I FOUND CALLED MACK'S GOLDEN PHAESANT IN ELMHURST, CORNER OF ROUTE 83 AND NORTH AVE. IT'S ABOUT 30 MINUTES OUTSIDE OF THE CITY. THERE'S A FAMILY THAT HAS OWNED IT FOR ABOUT 50 YEARS, SO IT'S A LANDMARK OF THE CHICAGO BURBS. BEING FROM A CITY MYSELF, NEW YORK TO BE EXACT, I WAS VERY RELIEVED TO HAVE HAD THE EXPERIENCE THAT I GOT AT MACK'S. THE FOOD WAS GREAT, SERVICE WAS OUTSTANDING, AND PRICES ARE MORE THAN REASONABLE (YOU WILL FALL IN LOVE WITH THE PLACE WHEN YOU SEE THE BILL TRUST ME, IF YOU HAD'NT ALREADY). We have been going to Mack's for many years. The food is great! The servers are friendly and prompt. The prices are what you would expect, for what you receive. We'll keep on going back.
