I used to manage the lums restraunt in schaumburg - Jerry, 10/17/2007
I first found Lums in Indianapolis during the Winter of '70 just off Post Road. Was stationed at Fort Harrison. There was a small room with a TV and they held it for about six of us every day at noon. We watched Jeopardy and ate lunch. I think Lums had restaurants by another name but can't remember the name. Does anyone know? - Michael Mannion, 12/22/2003
I was a great LUMS fan here in Columbus Ohio. The love of my life worked there (she's gone now)and I inhaled Ollie Burgers a couple of times a week. I'm glad I stumbled accross the LUMS website because I have clients in Florida and it gives me an excuse to check out the LUMS described in South Florida. - USDSJDM01@AOL.COM, 07/27/2003
Does anyone know the secret of the roast beef sandwiches? The buns were steamed, what kind of beef was used? Any info is needed. Thanx - elaineebock@hotmail.com, 07/16/2003
I went to Miami Norland Sr. High, Class of 1979, and we had a Lum's on U.S. HWY 441 right near N.W. 199 St. in Miami, FL! As a kid I went with my dad for lunch to Lum's without my brother or sister! Just me and my dad! We watched NBC's Baseball Game of the Week on Saturdays on the 19' color TV at the counter and ate burgers, dogs, and fries during the game! Lots of fond memories of Curt Gowdy, Tony Kubeck, and Joe Garagiola on NBC and my dad and me at Lum's! I sure miss my dad and I treasure those memories! Tell your dad how much he means to you while you still can! Don't think I'll ever stop missing my Dad!! Wish I was sitting at that Lum's with him right now! Thanx for the memories! I love you Dad! - reid2121@yahoo.com, 07/15/2003
The restaurant is closed, but the building and LUMS sign are still there! South Beach, Miami on Collins avenue. - Michael K. Tenney, 07/14/2003
