Don't give up on finding King James BBQ! Located smack dab in the middle of an industrial area this 'north woods' looking establishment situated on about 3 acres is a real find. On your way there you'll be saying 'There can't be a restaurant in this area.' But . . . there is! And a good one at that! The staff and customers are 'down-to-earth' real people. Warm, friendly and certainly not impressed with themselves. However...you will be impressed with the food! Try the pulled pork for a great sampling of the quality their BBQ entrees offer. This is not the same BBQ you find at so many places where all they do is heat the pork in BBQ sauce at the last minute. It tastes sooooo good you don't even need sauce, but try some of it anyway because it is better than most you've had before. Their coleslaw is great, and the Baked Beans have flavor with a little extra kick too! Did we mention the fries? Crisp, warm and obviously done to order. The restaurant is cozy, the salad and soup bar are great, and the Friday Night Beer battered Haddcock will make you come back for more. Finally . . . and try to keep this a secret from the staff....the prices for the beer and drinks are actually reasonable. King James BBQ is a real find.
