This old time downtown Libertyville restaurant has new friendly owners, a completely new menu, and a fresh, clean look. Chef Chen was head chef at Best Hunan in Vernon Hills for 20 years before coming to Henry Yee's in the summer of 2007. His food was always one of the highest rated in the area. This is most likely the worst place to eat in the area. The restaurant was closed a few years ago for violations (don't know what they were), but the food is bland, not at all appealing to the eye or the palate. The sweet & sour pork was terrible and the sauce was bright red. The fried rice was over fried and had no 'extras' added to the nearly black rice and really small pieces of pork.
