Located at a busy Elmhurst intersection, Hamburger Heaven looks like it's been there since 1950 or so. I really like the cheesburger, which is just like a Big Mac, with double patties, triple bun and secret sauce. - jms, 09/21/2011
Moved away from Elmurst 27 years ago and I am still craving a heavenly burger from Hamburger Heaven. I hope it never closes! - D. Rowe, 08/24/2007
I grew up just down the street from Hamburger Heaven in Elmhurst and it is the single thing I miss the most! I brought my wife (who hails from Southern California) there and now she's hooked on those delicious burgers with that one-of-a-kind flavor--I can't duplicate them and I don't think anyone else has either! The rootbeer is terrific but the chocolate malts are out of this world. This year (2005), the corner location underwent renovations and HH was unable to open at their regular springtime date-- because of that, I understand they intend to stay open much later in the season... perhaps until Christmas! Yahoooooo! This is a burger everyone MUST try. So, I'll see you
on the corner of York and North Avenue-- and when that little window slides open, I hope it's MY NUMBER that gets called! - Dan, Los Angeles, 11/09/2005
Flat out the best burger anywhere. I live about 20 miles away but it's worth the drive. Try adding a patty to the classic double and you will truly be in heaven. I only wish I knew what was in their sauce. Anybody know? - Ralph Zamback, 04/06/2005
Hamburger Heaven lives up to its name. Cannot go by the restaurant without stopping to get a couple. The family loves it. My mom was one of the original employes, when the place opened. I would take a Hamburger Heaven Burger any day over the Fast Food that our children seen to prefer. People don't know what they are missing. The wait for the burger may be longer than most people want, but watch the traffic go by at the intersection of North Avenue and York Road and before you know it your number will be called and you will be sinking your teeth into the best burger in the Midwest. Enjoy!!! - Edwards, 06/22/2003
Awesome Place. Still up and running. I have 3 t-shirts from there. Great Burgers and fries, My Grandma lives next to the college. - Phoenix, AZ, 07/01/2003
As of July, 2002, Hamburger Heaven is still going strong. After driving in from my home in South Dakota, I stopped in at HH with my brother and his family before heading down to the York Theatre for a movie -- the way we did it when we were kids! The hamburgers are exactly the same as they've always been -- delicious!! - davedlugos@aol.com, 06/27/2003

And they advertise that they serve RICHardson's rich root beer, and I hope they still do. It really is good root beer. - Mooch, 05/29/2003
I was born in 1955 and Hamburger Heaven has been at it's present site all of my life. My mom even used to work there when I was a kid. Hamburger Heaven was a big treat when we were young. Open only during the warm months, I have great memories of the family getting in the old station wagon and pulling in for triple-deckers and crinkle-cut french fries. These burgers had a special sauce before McDonald's was even thought of! If the old brown picnic tables are still out front, take a walk down for a burger, fries and a root beer, al fresco! You'll enjoy yourself! - davedlugos@aol.com, 04/20/2002
