Detail for Egg Harbor Cafe : Restaurant, American

I've been patronizing the Egg Harbor in Arlington Heights for many years now. After reading the comment by Jan Glover, I had to respond. 99% of the time this place is busy. Sometimes over an hour wait for a table. The food is prepared to order and tastes great. These factors can combine together for a little bit of a wait. This is NOT fast food! It is VERY GOOD food. I'd recomend it to anyone! - Ed Gallagher, 06/22/2003
I am very unhappy with the service received at your restaurant. I attended on May 9th only to wait at least 25 minutes for a omelet. Come on, its eggs for crying out loud, how long does it take to scramble eggs and put vegies in it. The restaurant wasn't even busy. The service was okay, she wasn't the most friendly waitress. I was referred by a friend to come here, and I was very disappointed with everything. - Jan Glover, 05/16/2002
THE place for Sunday morning food in Arlington Hts. Far more than just eggs and waffles, with such things as a black bean chicken chili omelet, crepes and lots of healthy items. Great potatoes come with most dishes-- lightly browned little cubes topped with diced green onions. Only open for breakfast and lunch. Expect a wait on the weekends but it's worth it. - cac, 02/01/2001
