I went to Chowpatti today after a long time. Somehow, the service I received was lack-lustre. The owner was all smiles while serving another white couple on a table next to mine. She seemed cold and indifferent to the rest of us in different tables who seemed to be of South Asian descent. Left a very bad taste in my mouth. And I am not speaking of just the food. The food is kind-of okay, quality seems to have deteriorated from before. Try the malai kulfi though, it is quite good, skip the kesar pista kulfi. Good food, family run. I don't mind the *slightly* higher prices considering the extremely broad menu (11 pages of vegetarian fare!!) and tastiness of the dishes. Their food has far more flavor than Chicago Diner, surely. The rose milkshakes are tasty! - mick, 01/02/2003
