I would describe the atmosphere there as intimate yet casual. This restaurant has been family owned and operated for over 57 years. Special dishes include pasta, baked or stuffed pasta, veal, poultry, steaks, ribs and combinations, fettuccini, seafood and, of course, pizza. Romano's has the BEST thin crust pizza I have ever tasted. Chucks All you can eat Crab Legs and Ribs are out of this world also. All you can eat crab legs on the weekends. You can't beat that. Prices have gone up over the years but I believe the current price is around $26.00 for the all you can eat crab legs!!! Not to mention Chuck is a great guy!! - Stacy, 07/29/2006

Romano's has the finest pizza I've ever tasted. I grew up in the Niles/Des Plaines area and Romano's (and Riggio's) was my favorite haunt for Italian food. After moving to Albuquerque in 1980, I missed Romano's pizza so much, I even had him Fed-Ex overnight some pizza to me. Not the same. I've tried to bribe Charles Romano to sell me his recipe, but he wouldn't budge. The pizza there is worth the relatively long wait. Believe me, it's worth it! - Kevin Ennis, 01/03/2001
