Bumpkins is everything you want in a fast food joint! Great chow, friendly service, big menu selction. First, the Polishes. Outstanding! They are juicy on the inside, and charred on the outside. They have excellent half-pound burgers. (Smaller sizes are available too, but why would anyone want to get that?) You know how Gyros can be very good, but sometimes it is too greasy? No worries here. They are perfect! Great pita bread too. I am very picky about cheese, but I love cheese fries. Some places give you runny velveeta cheese. (Homer's Ice Cream in Wilmette, are you reading this?) They use Merkts Chedder, which is the Dom Perignon of Chedder Cheese spreads! I haven't tried there Hot Dogs or Ribs, but hear they are quite good. My only suggestion- Bacon as a topping for the burgers. Otherwise, I give the place 5 stars out of 5! - Zak, 02/20/2002
